Around 95% of pro golfers wear a glove, but it is not a requirement to play the game. Most notably the Hall Of Famer Fred Couples does not wear a glove, but this is rare. Most Golf teachers will always recommend the use of a Golf glove, for added grip and to protect the hands.
Golf gives a lot of freedom to play and use equipment depending on your preferences, I wouldn’t recommend not wearing a glove but it depends on your situation.
If you are someone who has done heavy construction or weight lifted without gloves, then your hands are strong enough and swinging a Golf club shouldn’t cause any damage to your hands.
